Prescriptions
Please be advised when ordering prescriptions our turn over time is currently 72 hours. If it then goes to a selected pharmacy it may take additional time at their end, depending on pharmacy turn around.
Due to the very high volume of calls in to the surgery asking to check if a prescription has been processed we would ask patients to please wait the 72 hours from ordering, excluding weekends. If your prescription is not at your chosen pharmacy we can then see what the problem is and and try to resolve the issue as it could be with pharmacy or ourselves.
Thank you

When should you visit a Minor Injuries Unit?

Your local MIU can treat you if you have:

  • Cuts and wounds (including those that may need stitches)
  • Minor burns and scalds
  • Sprains, minor injuries or broken bones – in legs below the knee, and arms below the shoulder, where you can bear the weight through your foot or move your fingers (our experienced staff can arrange x-rays and apply plaster if required)
  • Insect bites or other animal bites
  • Tetanus immunisation after an injury
  • Minor head injury – where there has been no loss of consciousness or vomiting, and no residual symptoms i.e. headache, nausea, visual disturbance, dizziness or any other symptom of concussion
  • Removal of foreign bodies from eyes, nose or ears
  • Nose injuries and broken noses
  • Removal of rings, earrings and studs.

We ask all patients if you are experiencing any of the above that you contact 111 in the first instance who will assist you with the correct action.

Zero Tolerance
The practice staff are working incredibly hard throughout the pandemic and we are still working hard now under immense pressure with much higher demand now than before the pandemic. We have a zero tolerance policy towards people who are violent or verbally abusive to our staff or anyone else on the premises. Behaviour of this kind will result in removal from the practice list and may result in police action.
Thank You
