The GPs at the surgery are essentially self –employed, and sometimes are happy to complete letters/reports for our patients which are not funded by the NHS. The GPs can therefore charge for this work.
These will include:
- Letters relating to benefits
- Letters relating to housing
- Holiday cancellations
- Insurance appeals
- Exam appeals
- Fit to fly/medication on aircraft letters
- Fit to take part in certain activities, eg. sports, TV, theatre
- Job references
- Letters for court/jury service
- Letters for community service
- Verifications of details for banks
- Letters re debt arrears
