Firstly please check our helpful Signposting / Self help page to see if you require a GP appointment or if there are other more suitable services available to you.
To request an on the day appointment (Monday to Friday)
- Phone us Monday to Friday at 8am.
When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.
We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you. These appointments are available as a choice of face to face or telephone call with the GP.
Please note you may not get a choice in which GP you will see. Also please keep in mind the later you call the surgery the fewer appointments will be available, and so you may be asked to try again at 8am the following day.
To request a routine appointment (bookable weeks in advance)
- Phone us Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm.
When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.
We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you. These again can be booked either as a face to face or telephone call up to 6 weeks weeks in advance if you know you have an issue you will be due follow up for.
Your appointment
However you choose to contact us we may offer you a consultation:
- by phone
- face to face at the surgery
Appointments by phone can be more flexible and often means the doctor or nurse can help you sooner.
Cancelling or changing an appointment
- Phone us Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm.
If you ring up after your appointment time, this will be already marked as a “did not attend” on your file. Too many of these “DNAs” can risk you being removed from the list. This is the same for both face to face and telephone appointments, so it is always best to ring up to cancel in plenty of time.
Extended hours
We offer GP appointments from 7.45am — 8.15am. These are available to patients who cannot attend during normal surgery hours (for example, patients who work.) Patients are requested to arrive on time as failure to do so may mean you will not be seen and will be asked to rearrange.
These appointments are bookable in advance by calling the surgery.
If you need help when we are closed
If the situation is an emergency or life threatening, dial 999 and ask for an ambulance.
For urgent medical advice between 6pm and 8am weekdays, or during weekends and Bank Holidays, use NHS24 on 111.

Please tell us:
- If there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond.
- If you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone or face-to-face.
- If you need an interpreter.
- If you have any other access or communication needs.
